Maple Leafs loan Viktor Loov to Marlies

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Friday that the team has loaned defenceman Viktor Loov to the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Loov, 23, collected two assists in four games with the Maple Leafs after being recalled on February 18. The Sodertalje, Sweden native has registered 11 points and 38 penalty minutes in 48 games with the Marlies this season. Loov was selected by the Maple Leafs in the seventh round (209th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

The Maple Leafs return to the ice tomorrow night when they travel to Montreal to take on the Canadiens at 7 p.m., while the Marlies host the Hershey Bears (AHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals) tonight at 7 p.m.
