The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Friday that the hockey club has loaned forward Rich Clune
to the Toronto Marlies (AHL).
Clune, 28, has skated in 18 regular season games with the Maple Leafs this season, collecting three assists. The Toronto native has also appeared in 30 regular season games with the Toronto Marlies, collecting 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) and 102 penalty minutes. Clune was originally drafted in the third round (71st overall) by the Dallas Stars during the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The Maple Leafs return to the ice tomorrow night when they travel to Montreal to take on the Canadiens at 7 p.m., while the Marlies host the Hershey Bears (AHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals) tonight at 7 p.m.
