Maple Leafs announce roster moves

"The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday that the team has assigned 18 players to the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League and four players to the Memphis River Kings of the Central Hockey League. The moves leave 30 players left in camp.


Carsen Germyn (Red Deer of the Western Hockey League) and Chris Barr (Spokane of the WHL) have been released to their junior clubs. Rob Palahnuk and Vaclav Zavoral have agreed to terms on American Hockey League contracts and have been assigned to St. John's and Memphis, respectively.

The following players have been assigned to St. John's:

Goaltenders: Sebastien Centomo, Jamie Hodson
Defencemen: Ryan Bonni, Christian Chartier, Jay Harrison, Regan Kelly, Allan Rourke, Petr Svoboda, Dmitri Yakushin
Forwards: Nathan Barrett, Brad Boyes, Luca Cereda, Doug Doull, Brad Leeb, Craig Mills, Rob Palahnuk, Morgan Warren, Bob Wren

The following players have been assigned to Memphis:

Goaltenders: Mike Minard, J.F. Racine
Defencemen: Vaclav Zavoral
Forwards: Jonathan Gagnon
