Maple Leafs announce Development Camp details

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the team’s annual development camp will take place from July 4-9 in Toronto and Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Camp opens in Toronto on Monday, July 4 with medicals before moving to Niagara Falls later that afternoon. The first on-ice practice session will take place on Tuesday, July 5 at the Gale Centre Arena (5152 Thorold Stone Rd). All practices (July 5, 6 & 7) will be closed to the public. The team will hold an inter-squad scrimmage on Friday, July 8 at 10 a.m. at the Gale Centre Arena, which will be open to the public (doors at 9 a.m.). Admission is free but non-perishable donations to the Project SHARE food bank are encouraged. Camp will conclude with a scrimmage in Toronto at the MasterCard Centre on Saturday, July 9 at 10:30 a.m., which will be closed to the public.

Scott Pellerin, the Maple Leafs’ Director of Player Development, will oversee this year’s camp. The roster for this year’s camp will be announced at a later date. The following is the on-ice camp schedule:

Tuesday, July 5

-Group 1 Practice: 10:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

-Group 2 Practice: 12:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.

Wednesday, July 6

-Group 1 Practice: 10:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

-Group 2 Practice: 12:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.

Thursday, July 7

-Group 1 Practice: 10:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

-Group 2 Practice: 12:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.

Friday, July 8

-Full Scrimmage: 10:00 a.m.

Saturday, July 9

-Full Scrimmage: 10:30 a.m.
