Maple Leafs Announce 2021 Prospect Tournament Roster

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today the club's 26-man roster that will participate in the 2021 Traverse City Prospect Tournament at Centre ICE Arena in Traverse City, MI. The roster includes a total of 15 forwards, eight defencemen and three goaltenders. The Maple Leafs will compete in the five-team tournament (Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, and St. Louis Blues) from September 16 to 20.

Attending this year's tournament will be one draft pick from the 2021 NHL Draft (Ty Voit), one draft pick from the 2020 NHL Draft (William Villeneuve), two draft picks from the 2019 NHL Draft (Mikhail Abramov, Nick Robertson), one draft pick from the 2018 NHL Draft (Semyon Der-Arguchintsev) and one draft pick from the 2017 NHL Draft (Ian Scott).

In addition to the Maple Leafs' draft picks, the roster will include four players signed to NHL contracts (Joseph Duszak, Pavel Gogolev, Erik Källgren, Alex Steeves), eight players signed to AHL contracts (Ryan Chyzowski, Curtis Douglas, Matt Hellickson, Noel Hoefenmayer, Riley McCourt, Jeremy McKenna, Keith Petruzzelli, Matteo Pietroniro). Additionally, the Maple Leafs have invited eight free agents (Brett Budgell, Jordan Frasca, James Hardie, Braeden Kressler, Lleyton Moore, Cedric Paré, Colby Saganiuk, Vincent Sévigny).

Toronto Marlies head coach Greg Moore will oversee the team along with coaching staff from across the organization, including A.J. MacLean, John Snowden, Eric Wellwood and T.J. Millar.
