The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that they have acquired forward Nathan Perrott (pronounced PAIR iht) from the Nashville Predators in exchange for centre Bob Wren.

The Owen Sound, Ontario native made his NHL debut last season when he played 22 games with the Predators and collected three points (one goal, two assists). His only NHL goal was the game-winner in a 3-1 Nashville win against Calgary April 6, 2002.

The 6?0?, 225 lb. forward was originally New Jersey's second choice, 44th overall, in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He signed as a free agent with Chicago in August of 1997. After four seasons in the Blackhawks' organization, he was traded to Nashville for future considerations October 9, 2001.
