The Maple Leafs rookies have put themselves in position to defend their rookie tournament title for another year.
John Mitchell scored his tournament leading fifth to tie the game in the second period and Alex Foster scored the winner midway through the third period, as the Maple Leafs scored a 5-3 over the Florida Panthers
Jiri Tlusty had a pair of goals including and empty netter, while Jamie Sifers added a single in the victory.
Justin Pogge made 28 saves, including a penalty shot stop for the win, while Tyler Plante blocked 17 shots in the loss.
The win ensured the Maple Leafs will face the Montreal Canadiens in the finals on Tuesday at RIcoh Coiiseum. Game time is 4 p.m.
