Leafs TV to exclusively air all preseason games

by Staff Writer / Toronto Maple Leafs
Leafs TV announced Thursday that it has been awarded the exclusive broadcast rights to all nine Toronto Maple Leafs 2002 preseason games beginning with the September 20 contest against the Ottawa Senators.

Joe Bowen and Harry Neale will handle play-by-play duties and colour commentary for all nine games, with Bob Harwood serving as on-site reporter. Game time for the Ottawa matchup is set for 7 p.m. Eastern Time, with Brian Duff, Glenn Healy and Rick Vaive hosting pre-game coverage. Molson Game Face airs one hour before the game, and concludes with After the Horn following the contest.

"The nine games in 14 days are a great way to kick start our second season," said John Shannon, executive producer of Leafs TV. "It not only gives fans a chance to see this season's hockey team, but also a chance to preview our new programming."

Leafs TV is available from your cable and satellite provider in Ontario, excluding Ottawa Valley. Daily programming schedules and information on how to order the channel are available 24 hours a day. The channel launched in September 2001, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
