(October 1, 2005) -- John Shannon, executive producer of Leafs TV, announced Saturday that veteran broadcaster and former NHL goaltender Greg Millen will join Leafs TV as senior reporter and game analyst.
"Greg brings a wealth of hockey knowledge to our network and we look forward to adding his high quality work and enthusiasm to all of our Maple Leafs coverage," said Shannon, who also stated that the addition of Millen "illustrates Leafs TV's commitment to providing quality broadcasting talent to it viewers."
"I'm thrilled to be part of Leafs TV," Millen said. "I never got an opportunity to play for the Leafs and, being from the area, I look forward to contributing to the TV coverage of the team that I grew up watching."
Millen will join Harry Neale and Joe Bowen in the booth as analyst for each of Leafs TV's 13 regular season Maple Leafs broadcasts. The 48-year-old will also serve as traveling senior reporter for Leafs TV's pregame show Gameday, postgame show After the Horn, and newsdesk show Leafs Today.
Millen presently is an analyst for Hockey Night In Canada and will continue with those duties on Saturday nights.
His other broadcasting accomplishments include covering the 1994 and 2002 Olympics and serving as an on-ice reporter for ESPN International.
Leafs TV is available through most television service providers in the Maple Leafs broadcast region.
