Leafs Trim Training Camp Roster

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday that the hockey club has reduced its training camp roster by 10 players. Toronto’s current roster (listed below) now stands at 54 players (32 forwards, 16 defencemen, and six goaltenders).

Forwards Stefan Della Rovere, Brett Findlay, Spencer Machacek, Ryan Rupert, Francis Wathier and Patrick Watling, and defenceman Matt Finn have all been assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Forwards Matt Rupert (London – OHL), Carter Verhaeghe (Niagara – OHL) and defenceman Cody Donaghey (Quebec – QMJHL) have all been reassigned to their respective junior clubs.

The Toronto Marlies open training camp at MasterCard Centre on Thursday morning while the Maple Leafs open their pre-season schedule tonight in London, Ontario when they face the Philadelphia Flyers (aired live on Leafs TV and TSN 1050 Radio).
