Leafs Recall Kronwall From Marlies

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that defenceman Staffan Kronwall (KRAWN-wahl) has been recalled from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.


In 22 games with the Marlies, Kronwall has collected two goals and four assists for six points, along with 14 penalty minutes and a plus-seven rating.  Kronwall has also skated in 10 games for the Maple Leafs this season, registering a plus-two rating.

Now in their third season as the Maple Leafs' primary affiliate, the Marlies lead the AHL’s North Division with a record of 41-18-3-5 and are one of 29 teams competing in the American Hockey League's 73rd season. The Marlies next home game is on Saturday, March 22 when they host the Hamilton Bulldogs at Ricoh Coliseum at Exhibition Place. Game time is 7 p.m. For ticket information call 416-597-PUCK.
