The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday that right-winger Paul Healey has been recalled from the St. John's Maple Leafs (AHL).
Healey began the season in St. John's where he is currently third in team scoring with 52 points (24 goals, 28 assists) in 54 games. He leads the St. John's Maple Leafs with a plus-minus rating of plus 20. Healey was previously recalled to Toronto on December 20, 2001, and made two appearances (December 21 and 22 vs. Buffalo) and was held pointless.
The former seventh round draft pick of the Philadelphia Flyers has a total of eight NHL games to his credit recording no points and 12 minutes in penalties. Healey will practice in Toronto tomorrow and will be available for tomorrow night's game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
