The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday right-winger Jeff Farkas has been recalled from the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League.
Farkas, 24, has played 53 games with St. John's this season and has 38 points (11 goals, 27 assists) with 29 penalty minutes. He appeared in six pre-season games with Toronto in September scoring one goal and adding three assists.
The native of Amherst, New York played in two games for Toronto last season and was held pointless. He made his NHL debut in the 1999-2000 playoffs and scored a goal May 6 vs. New Jersey in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Final. Farkas was Toronto's first choice, 57th overall in the 1997 Entry Draft.
