The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that the team has recalled defenceman Andrew MacWilliam
from the Toronto Marlies (AHL) on an emergency basis and reassigned defenceman T.J. Brennan to the Marlies.
MacWilliam, 25, has skated in eight regular season games with the Maple Leafs this season, collecting one assist and six penalty minutes. The Calgary, Alberta native has also registered seven points (three goals, four assists) and 47 penalty minutes in 56 regular season games with the Marlies this year.
Brennan, 25, has collected one assist and nine penalty minutes in six regular season games with the Maple Leafs this season. The Willingboro, New Jersey native has also skated in 10 regular season games with the Marlies this year, registering three assists.
The Maple Leafs return to the ice on Saturday night when they travel to Boston for a 7 p.m. game against the Bruins. The Marlies return to action tomorrow night when they travel to Cleveland for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche).
