Leafs Holding The Biggest Party In Town

by Staff Writer / Toronto Maple Leafs

(April 8, 2004) -- The Blue and White are gearing up for the playoffs and want their fans to get involved

Leafs fans can join the playoff frenzy at the biggest party in town during the Leafs vs. Senators playoff series with tailgate parties set to take place during every home game outside Air Canada Centre on the West Plaza.

Catching the game action, listening to live music, enjoying a bite to eat at the food and beverage concessions and even staving off the spring chill in the Leafs Nation hot tub are just some of the activities fans can expect to enjoy.

"The Leafs tailgate party is another way for fans to be a part of the excitement, action and fun," said Beth Robertson, vice-president of marketing, Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment Ltd. "Our goal is to have fans replicate the energy happening inside Air Canada Centre, at the tailgate party."

Robertson added that there are many unique elements to this year's tailgate parties including a virtual face-off against the Ottawa Senators through NHL Hockey 2004 on Sony PlayStation 2.

Party attendees can also show their allegiance to Leafs Nation by signing The Buds Mobile with the first 3,000 signers receiving a Leafs TV and AMJ Campbell dog tag.

Admission to the Leafs tailgate party is free and fans are being asked to express their loyalty to their Leafs by dressing in blue and white.
