DETROIT (AP) - Steve Yzerman, Brendan Shanahan and rookie Pavel Datsyuk each had a goal and an assist and defenceman Fredrik Olausson had two assists to lead the Detroit Red Wings to a 5-2 exhibition victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night.
At 14:09 of the first period, Toronto's Mats Sundin scored from the left circle with a shot Detroit goaltender Dominik Hasek never saw. Just 27 seconds into the second period, Datsyuk tied it.
Toronto took a 2-1 lead when Alyn McCauley scored his second goal of the preseason at 7:57 of the second. Yzerman tied the game for the last time with a power-play goal at 15:31 of the second.
Yuri Butsayev gave the Red Wings the lead 27 seconds later when his shot from the left circle beat goaltender Mikael Tellqvist.
Shanahan scored on a power play at 15:11 of the third period and Sergei Fedorov added an even-strength goal 28 seconds later to make it 5-2.
Hasek, who played the entire game, made 28 saves. Tellqvist took the loss in relief of starter Corey Schwab.
