Leafs Announce Roster Moves

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Saturday that the hockey club has reduced its training camp roster by five players. Toronto’s current roster (listed below) now stands at 36 players (22 forwards, 11 defencemen and three goaltenders).

Forward Tyler Biggs and goaltender Garret Sparks have been assigned to the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies, while forwards Trevor Smith and Spencer Abbott as well as defenceman Kevin Marshall have cleared waivers and will also report to the Marlies.

The Toronto Marlies continue their training camp tomorrow morning at the MasterCard Centre with an 11 a.m. scrimmage. The Maple Leafs will play their sixth of eight preseason games tomorrow night at Air Canada Centre against the Buffalo Sabres.
