Training Camp to be held at Ricoh Coliseum

(July 10, 2006) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs announced their 2006-07 preseason schedule on Monday, which features home games at Air Canada Centre versus three divisional rivals in the Montreal Canadiens, the Ottawa Senators and the Buffalo Sabres.

In addition, the Maple Leafs will travel to Halifax, Nova Scotia to face the Senators at the Metro Centre. The last time the Leafs played an exhibition game in the Atlantic Provinces was September 27, 2003 versus the Ottawa Senators in St. John's, Newfoundland.  The Maple Leafs last played in Halifax on September 19, 1991 when they faced the Quebec Nordiques.

The Maple Leafs will play a total of eight preseason games. The team concludes its preseason schedule with a home-and-home series against Original Six rival, the Detroit Red Wings

Beginning September 14, training camp will be held in Toronto at the Ricoh Coliseum for the second consecutive year. The Maple Leafs will play host to the Montreal Canadiens and the Florida Panthers at the 2006 Rookie Tournament which will take place from September 8-12, also at Ricoh Coliseum.  All preseason games will be broadcast live on Leafs TV.
