(July 6, 2005) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that they will be moving forward with a new medical model and as a result a new medical team will be put in place.
"We want to express our sincere gratitude to physicians Michael Clarfield, Darrell Ogilvie-Harris, as well as to therapists Chris Broadhurst and Brent Smith, for their extended service and commitment to the organization," said Leafs General Manager John Ferguson. "In the past 15 years, the medical staff has worked hard to provide care to our team. Their contributions are much appreciated. We wish them all the best in the future."
The Leafs will announce details pertaining to their new medical team in the coming weeks.
