Leafs Acquire Kozun From Kings

Toronto Maple Leafs Senior Vice President & General Manager Dave Nonis announced Wednesday, the team has acquired forward Brandon Kozun from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for Andrew Crescenzi. Kozun will report to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Kozun, 23, was originally drafted by Los Angeles in the sixth-round (179th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The Los Angeles, California native has registered 29 points (10 goals, 19 assists) in 43 games with Manchester this season. In his first three years with the Monarchs, Kozun appeared in 221 games, collecting 150 points (69 goals, 81 assists) and 158 penalty minutes. Before turning pro, Kozun played four seasons with the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League.

Crescenzi, 20, had two points (1 goal, 1 assist) and 33 penalty minutes in 32 games with the Marlies this season. The Thornhill, Ontario native was originally signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs as a free agent on September 24, 2010.
