The Toronto Maple Leafs announced on Friday that forward Brandon Kozun has been loaned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League for conditioning purposes.
Kozun, 24, has skated in five regular season games with the Maple Leafs this season collecting one assist. The Los Angeles, California native suffered a high ankle sprain in a game against the Detroit Red Wings on October 17.
Kozun is expected to play for the Marlies on Sunday evening when they host the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche) at 5 p.m. The Maple Leafs return to the ice tomorrow night when they host the Washington Capitals at 7 p.m.
