Five Players Assigned to Marlies

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday that five players have been assigned to the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies.

Forwards John Mitchell and Robert Earl, along with defencemen Jaime Sifers and Chris Harrington, and goaltender Justin Pogge have been assigned to the Maple Leafs’ top affiliate.

The Marlies will play their first of three AHL preseason games beginning Wednesday, September 26 versus Hamilton. The game will take place in Burlington, Ontario at 7:30 p.m.

Now in their third season as the Maple Leafs' primary affiliate, the Marlies are one of 29 teams competing in the American Hockey League's 73rd season. For ticket information to the Marlies' next home game at Ricoh Coliseum at Exhibition Place, call 416-597-PUCK.
