Domi traded to Nashville

by Staff Writer / Toronto Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday that the rights to unrestricted free agent forward Tie Domi have been traded to the Nashville Predators. In exchange, the Maple Leafs will receive Nashville's eighth-round draft selection in the 2003 Entry Draft.

Domi, 32, has appeared in 541 career regular season games for Toronto and has recorded 57 goals, 74 assists, 131 points and 1,777 penalty minutes. This past season was his seventh full season with the Maple Leafs after his acquisition from the Winnipeg Jets on April 7, 1995. Originally, he was Toronto's second choice, 27th overall, in the 1988 Entry Draft.
