Dave Nonis, Senior Vice-President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that the hockey club has assigned defenceman Jesse Blacker to the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies.

Blacker, 21, was originally recalled by the Maple Leafs on March 25, but did not play in any games.
