(March 30, 2006) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that forward Jason Allison underwent
successful surgery in Toronto last evening. The surgical procedure on his fifth metacarpal bone in his left hand was performed by Dr. Herb von Schroeder. He sustained the injury during the third period of Saturday's game at Montreal. The estimated recovery time is six weeks.
Allison is second in scoring on the Maple Leafs with 60 points (17 goals, 43 assists) with 76 penalty minutes in 66 games.
