Brian Engblom - Television Color Analyst

Veteran television analyst BRIAN ENGBLOM enters his fourth season with the Bolts in 2018-19 as a color analyst for all Lightning television broadcasts. Working alongside Rick Peckham, Engblom provides expert insight and in-depth analysis for all games on Sun Sports. 

Engblom has more than 11 years of NHL experience as a player and has been a TV broadcaster since 1993. Lightning fans will recognize him from his work as the "Inside the Glass" analyst on both NBC and NBC Sports Network broadcasts, as well as the network's coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. During his time at NBC, Engblom has also served as an analyst on NHL Live, NBCSN's pre- and post-game NHL studio show. During that time he also served as color analyst for Winnipeg Jets games on TSN in Canada. 

Prior to joining NBC, Engblom served as an analyst for ABC Sports on its national NHL broadcasts. He also served as color analyst for games on ESPN and ESPN2 from 1993-2004.

A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Engblom is a three-time Stanley Cup Champion as a player, skating in 659 career NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals, Los Angeles Kings, Buffalo Sabres and Calgary Flames. He was drafted 22nd overall by Montreal in the 1975 draft after playing collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He retired in 1987 with a career total of 29 goals and 177 assists.
