TAMPA, Fla. – Despite getting two goals from Brad Richards and playing a close series with the New Jersey Devils, the Tampa Bay Lightning dropped their final playoff match-up of the year at the St. Pete Times Forum, 3-2. With the loss, the Lightning were eliminated in the sixth game of their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Quarter-Finals series against the Devils.

As Tampa Bay looked to tie their first round match-up against New Jersey they made their final home ice appearance of the series in a game dominated by special teams play. Richards and Brian Gionta led their teams in the contest by scoring two goals each, and Patrik Elias dished three assists as the Devils skated to the victory.
