Tampa Bay Lightning center Tyler Johnson will not participate in the 2015 NHL All-Star Game on Sunday at Nationwide Arena because of a lower-body injury (5 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports).
Johnson, who was drafted by Team Toews on Friday, was replaced by the Flames Johnny Gaudreau.
Johnson is eighth in the NHL with 48 points (his 31 assists rank seventh). He did not play Jan. 13 because of an injury but participated in Tampa Bay's final three games prior to the 2015 NHL All-Star Weekend.
He could play in the Lightning's game against the Hurricanes on Tuesday because he participated in all All-Star game events.
