After first hearing we'd have to sit out a two-hour weather delay, then deciding to fly to Atlantic City instead after waiting an hour, the Lightning team plane managed to touch down in rainy Philadelphia at about 5:30 yesterday evening. Apparently Philly decided to let us land once we were nearby, which saved us the 90-minute bus ride from Atlantic City.

Nick Gesacion, director of new media for the 76ers, was a guest at the morning skate today. Nick, who departed the Lightning and moved to Philly in December, is yet another of the former Lightning staffers who have moved on to other franchises. Nick formerly oversaw after several years in the Lightning sales department.

Lightning coach John Tortorella made today's morning skate mandatory, and it looks like the same lineup as Tuesday except for Johan Holmqvist in net instead of Karri Ramo. Once again, it looks like Holmqvist is the designated “road goalie” while Ramo gets the starts at home. Whatever works…

Andreas Karlsson (personal reasons) and Brad Lukowich (abdominal/groin) remain out.
