The Lightning look to get back in the win column on Saturday night and continue their push for the playoffs against the Washington Capitals at AMALIE Arena.

SATURDAY'S MATCHUP

The Lightning and the Capitals are playing the final game of their three-game regular season series...The Bolts downed the Caps 2-1 in a shootout the last time the teams met at AMALIE Arena (Dec. 3), Nikita Kucherov netting the lone goal in regulation for Tampa Bay and Brian Boyle supplying the game-winner in the shootout's fourth round...Tampa Bay was shut out by Washington the last time the two teams played one another, the Capitals earning a 4-0 victory at the Verizon Center (Dec. 23)...Braden Holtby made all 23 saves to pick up the shutout win for the Caps...The Lightning are 6-4-0 in their last 10 home games against the Capitals...The Bolts are 24-32-2 with two ties all-time at home against the Caps...Tampa Bay is trying to finish with more wins than losses in the season series against Washington for the first time since the 2006-07 season (6-2-0 that season)...The Lightning have lost six of their last seven games against the Capitals and have been outscored 25-12 over those seven games...The Bolts are 39-68-8 with six ties all-time overall versus the Caps.

The Lightning have picked up points in eight of their last 10 games (7-2-1) and 15 of their last 18 games (12-3-3)...On Feb. 3, Tampa Bay was tied with Buffalo for seventh place in the Atlantic Division and tied for 15th in the Eastern Conference, but since, the Lightning own the best point percentage in the Eastern Conference (.750) and the third-best point percentage in the NHL behind Chicago (.824) and Calgary (.794)...The Bolts have scored more power-play goals than any other team in the league (53) and own the sixth-best power play in the NHL at 22%...With 12 games remaining in the regular season, the Lightning already have more power-play goals this season than any season since 2010-11 (69).

Tampa Bay forward Nikita Kucherov has recorded 10 goals and 10 assists over his last 12 games, despite being held scoreless over the last two games...Since Feb. 21, Kucherov is tied with BOS's Brad Marchand in the NHL for most scoring. Kucherov has set career highs for goals (31), assists (38) and points (69) this season...Kucherov ranks tied for eighth in the NHL for goals and tied for ninth for scoring...Kucherov is just the fourth Lightning player to record back-to-back 30-goal seasons, joining Vincent Lecavalier (5-straight seasons from 2002-03 to 2007-08), Martin St. Louis (4-straight seasons from 2002-03 to 2006-07) and Steven Stamkos (3-straight seasons from 2009-10 to 2011-12 and 2-straight seasons from 2014-15 to 2015-16)...Kucherov is third in the league for power-play goals.
