TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed free agent defenseman Haydn Fleury to a two-year contract worth an AAV of $762,500, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced.

Fleury, 6-foot-3, 208 pounds, played in 36 games for the Seattle Kraken last season, recording two goals and four points. He has played in 215 career NHL games with Seattle, the Anaheim Ducks and Carolina Hurricanes, amassing nine goals and 31 points. Fleury was claimed by Seattle from Anaheim in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft.
The 26-year-old has played in 17 career Stanley Cup Playoff games, all with Carolina during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He scored a pair of goals during the 2020 postseason in eight games.
Fleury was selected by the Hurricanes in the first round, seventh overall, of the 2014 NHL draft.
