Attendance at AMALIE Arena for Round 1 of the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs will moderately increase to approximately 7,000 fans, or 37 percent capacity, Vinik Sports Group, in consultation with local health and government officials and the National Hockey League, announced today.

The first 10 Tampa Bay Lightning games of the 2020-21 regular season were played without spectators. The Lightning welcomed 3,800 fans to the arena for the first time this season on March 13 and continued to host a limited seating capacity for all remaining home games. That number increased to 4,200 on April 22, where it will remain for the rest of the regular season.
All previous arena health and safety protocols as part of Vinik Sports Group's 'Play it Safe' campaign will remain in place during Round 1 of the playoffs, including the mandatory mask policy, which is strictly enforced except when guests are actively eating and/or drinking. All fans that purchase tickets agree to these policies ahead of time. Seating pods will be separated by four to five-and-a-half feet, depending on the location.
Due to continued limited arena capacity and in order to be as fair and equitable as possible, the number of games and seats purchased per Season Ticket Member will be capped. The Lightning's goal is to provide as many STMs as possible the opportunity to purchase and attend at least one game during Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Tickets will initially be offered exclusively to active STMs that purchased tickets directly through the Lightning this season. Premium STMs in the CHASE Club and VIP Lounge will have access to a premium ticket pre-sale on Wednesday morning, May 5, and all other active STMs will have access to available seating on Friday morning, May 7. STMs will be notified of their priority purchase time in advance via email.
Remaining ticket inventory will then be offered to Lightning Paused STMs and Lightning Priority Access Club members. Any remaining tickets will be made available to the Lightning Insider email club. If you would like to become a free member of the Insider email club, simply sign up HERE.
Ticket availability for potential future playoff rounds are TBD.
The defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning have qualified for the playoffs for a fourth-straight season, matching a franchise record for longest playoff streak (also: 2002-03 to 2006-07). The Lightning qualified for the postseason for the seventh time in head coach Jon Cooper's eight full seasons and for the 13th time overall in franchise history.
