Mark Scheifele scored 4:18 into the overtime period send the Jets past the Lightning in a back-and-forth battle on Sunday night.
The loss ends Tampa Bays eight game winning streak but gives the Bolts points in nine straight contests.

The scoring began with both teams trading power play goals in the first period.
Tampa Bay opened the scoring 13 minutes into the game on Alex Killorn's eighth goal of the year. Killorn beat Connor Hellebuyck with a backhand finish after a feed from Ondrej Palat sent him in alone. Mathieu Perreault answered back with a power play goal of his own with 17 seconds to play in the first period, redirecting home a point shot from Tyler Myers.

Brandon Tanev then gave the Jets the lead midway through the second period but Steven Stamkos answered back 37 seconds later to tie the game at two.
Tyler Johnson gave the Lightning the lead again with his 14th goal of the season with less than two minutes to play in the period. At the end of a dominating sequence for the Bolts, a loose puck in the slot fell right to Johnson who quickly fired a shot past Hellebuyck.
Once again, however, the Jets answered back with a final-minute tally.
Nikolaj Ehlers wired a one-timed shot past Vasilevskiy with 41 seconds to play in the second to send the teams to intermission tied 3-3.
Tampa Bay took the lead again on a Nikita Kucherov power play goal seven minutes into the third. Steven Stamkos fed Kucherov who beat Hellebuyck with a one-timed shot to the near post.
Ehlers answered back with his second goal of the game with just over five minutes to play in regulation. A shot by Scheifele bounced off the boards behind Vasilevskiy and fell right to Ehlers who fired a quick shot past the Bolts goaltender to tie the game at four and send the game to overtime.
Both teams had solid chances in overtime but it was the Jets who cashed in.
Brayden Point had a pass intercepted as the Bolts tried to break out of their defensive zone and the ensuing Jets rush ended with Scheifele's overtime winner.
Three Bolts managed to register multi-point performances in the loss. Stamkos led the way with a goal and an assist, while Palat and Point both had a pair of assists.
