The Matches performs on December 6 following the Lightning game.
Their latest album, A Band In Hope was labeled one of Alternative Press’s most anticipated albums of 2008. This spring they co-headlined the Alternative Press Tour 2008. The Matches are currently demoing new songs for their next album, which is due for release in 2009. The band formed in 1997, comprises of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Shawn Harris, lead guitarist and backup vocalist Jon Devoto, bassist and backup vocalist Dylan Rowe, and drummer Matt Whalen. Danko Jones performs on January 3 following the Lightning game.
Danko Jones is a hard rock trio formed in Toronto. Their latest album released earlier this year, Never Too Loud, is being called the greatest Danko album yet. The band consists of Danko Jones (vocals/guitar), JC (also known as John Calabrese (bass guitar), and Dan Cornelius (drums). A well-known sensation in Europe, they are currently touring in Europe as opener for Motörhead.
Civil Twilight performs on February 14 following the Lightning game.
Civil Twilight hails from Cape Town, South Africa and is comprised of two brothers Andrew and Steven McKeller and fellow friend Richard Wouters. The three piece rock band moved to Los Angeles three years ago and have since built a solid fan base within the Hollywood club scene. Their music has been featured on poplar TV shows such as Without A Trace, One Tree Hill, and the Super Bowl special episode of House. Cartel performs on March 7 following the Lightning game.
Cartel is a five-member American rock band comprising of Will Pugh (vocals, guitar, piano) Joseph Pepper (guitar), Nic Hudson (guitar), Jeff Lett (bass), and Kevin Sanders (drums). In late 2006 and early 2007, the band toured as support for New Found Glory. Later in the year Cartel spent 20 days inside a giant glass bubble as part of the Band in a Bubble program. In those 20 days, they completed the self-titled album Cartel which included 13 songs. Their single off the album Chroma, "Say Anything (Else)" was featured on the Madden NFL 2007 soundtrack. The band is currently working on their third album scheduled to come out in spring 2009.
Million Man Army to perform on March 21 following the Lightning game.
The MMA is a modern/classic rock outfit formed from the ashes of the band Submersed which was featured twice during last years’ concert series. The band consists of 5 seasoned musicians DC (vocals/guitar), Mike Moye (guitar/vocals), “Mongo” Peterson (bass/vocals), Ryan McQuinn (piano/programming) and Justin Cohen (percussion/vocals). They are currently working on their untitled debut record expected to be released sometime early next summer. MacDinton’s Irish Bar & Grill
will provide complimentary pre-game and post-concert transportation at each concert. Tampa Bay Lightning fans will receive 25% off Happy Hour specials with their ticket stub on the day of that game.
