TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 5, 2014) – On Thursday, Feb. 6, at 10:30 p.m., Sun Sports, the regional television home of the Tampa Bay Lightning, will premiere the next episode of "Inside the Lightning" upon conclusion of the Lightning vs. Toronto Maple Leafs game. Titled "Bolts and Bulls," this episode will spotlight the partnership between the University of South Florida and the Lightning that resulted in the creation of a Sport and Entertainment Management MBA degree at USF's College of Business. The program began in 2012 with the support of The Lightning Foundation, Lightning owner Jeff Vinik and his senior staff.
Hosted by Kelly Nash, the show will look at the young minds in the program, and the leaders who make it a success. Dr. William Sutton directs the program, which graduates students with two degrees. In the second year of the program, students become residents for organizations such as the Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, FOX Sports Florida, Tampa Bay Sports Commission and more. "Bolts and Bulls" will also provide a look at the FOX Sports Florida sponsored Sports Lecture Series that brought various speakers in the sports industry to Tampa in January. Finally, the show pays a visit to the Lightning Golf Tournament at the Avila Country Club, where Lightning players and coaches played golf with donors and a silent auction was held to raise money for the program.
