The Lightning entered Saturday night with three different scenarios that could clinch them a spot in the 2023 Playoffs. Instead of relying on results elsewhere in the NHL, Tampa Bay took care of business themselves, thoroughly defeating the Islanders 5-0 to book a sixth consecutive trip to the postseason.

It was another strong performance from the Bolts that secured a third-straight victory. Tampa Bay took the lead late in the first, pulled away with a three-goal second period and effectively shut the game down in the final frame.
Tanner Jeannot scored his first goal in a Lightning sweater and Darren Raddysh picked up a pair of assists to record the first two points of his NHL career.
Andrei Vasilevskiy earned his fourth shutout of the season and his second in three starts.
The Lightning now hit the road for one final regular season road trip that begins with a back-to-back against the Rangers and Islanders on Wednesday and Thursday.
