A tough road trip for the Lightning ended with a 7-4 loss to the Senators at Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday night.

The Bolts now return to Tampa to wrap up the regular season with matchups against Toronto and Detroit.

Ottawa grabbed the lead on their first shot on goal 30 seconds into the game. An Alex DeBrincat dump in took a big bounce off the end boards and came all the way out to Erik Brannstrom at the point. Brannstrom fired and had his shot tipped past Brian Elliott's glove by Drake Batherson.
OTT 1, TBL 1
2:51 Alex Killorn (26) - Steven Stamkos, Victor Hedman - PPG

2nd Period
OTT 3, TBL 1
6:21 Patrick Brown (4) - Mark Kastelic, Artem Zub
A point shot from Artem Zub was redirected on goal by Mark Kastelic, making it difficult for Elliott to control the rebound. Patrick Brown pounced on the loose puck and scored to extend Ottawa's lead to two.
OTT 3, TBL 2
13:38 Brandon Hagel (29) - Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov - PPG
With the Bolts on a two-man advantage, all three Ottawa skaters got sucked into a puck battle in the corner. Tampa Bay worked it free and set up Stamkos for a scoring chance. Although Stamkos ripped his shot wide, a big bounce off the end boards fell to Brandon Hagel at the near post, and he scored from a tight angle.
OTT 3, TBL 3
14:06 Victor Hedman (9) - Nikita Kucherov, Steven Stamkos - PPG
The Lightning tied the game on their remaining power play time. Victor Hedman drifted to the near side of the ice and one-timed a feed from Nikita Kucherov past Talbot.
OTT 4, TBL 3
19:43 Alex DeBrincat (27) - Shane Pinto, Tim Stützle - PPG
Tampa Bay couldn't get it to intermission tied, however, as DeBrincat put the Senators back in front with 17 seconds to play in the period. Elliott thought he'd gotten over to the near post to cover DeBrincat's sharp angle shot, but a brief video review revealed the puck had crossed the line.

2:07 Egor Sokolov (1) - Unassisted
Erik Cernak lost an edge and went down in his own zone, giving the puck away to Egor Sokolov. After cutting across the face of goal, Sokolov tucked a shot through Elliott's five-hole.
OTT 5, TBL 4
6:01 Brayden Point (49) - Victor Hedman, Michael Eyssimont
