Prospect Roundup: Cirelli rides six-game point streak for Erie Otters

Three Lightning prospects continue to help Erie in OHL playoffs

With an emphasis on drafting and developing, the Tampa Bay Lightning have created one of the strongest pipelines in the National Hockey League over the last few years. Each week, will provide statistical updates on key prospects throughout the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and will highlight select players from the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.


Erie Otters vs. Mississauga Steelheads - Erie leads 2-0

D Erik Cernak, Erie Otters

Drafted 43rd overall (2nd Round) by LAK in 2015

Cernak has not yet pointed in Erie's OHL Final series against Mississauga, but has eight points in 19 playoff games. He's set career highs in goals (1), assists (7), and points in his second playoff season with the Otters.

C Anthony Cirelli, Erie Otters

Drafted 72nd overall (3rd Round) in 2015

With three assists in two games so far in this series, Cirell is riding a six-game point streak and has recorded a point in all but four of his 19 playoff games this postseason. He leads the Otters in goals (13) and power-play goals (6), and is third in overall club scoring (26 points). His power-play goals also lead all OHL skaters for the postseason.

RW Taylor Raddysh, Erie Otters

Drafted 58th overall (2nd Round) in 2016

Raddysh has been held off the scoresheet so far against the Steelheads, but has 26 points in 19 games. His 17 assists are second among all OHL skaters.

LW Boko Imama, Saint John Sea Dogs

Drafted 180th overall (6th Round) in 2015

Imama added an assist on the game-winning goal in Game 2 for 14 points through 16 postseason games.

RW Mathieu Joseph, Saint John Sea Dogs

Drafted 120th overall (4th Round) in 2015

Through two games, Joseph has already put up five points against the Armada. He turned in a three-point effort in Game 1 and followed that up with a goal and an assist in Game 2 along with Third Star honors. He is second among all QMJHL skaters in points (27) and goals (13).


The Crunch are up 2-0 in their second round Calder Cup series against the Toronto Marlies … Both wins came on home ice … They travel to Toronto for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 9-10 … Both games are at 7 p.m. and can be watched on AHL Live as well as streamed for free on … Captain Erik Condra leads his club with seven points … Condra is tied for the team lead in goals (3) with Cory Conacher, Tye McGinn, and Joel Vermin … Mike McKenna has been in net all six games for the Crunch, and is 5-1-0 with a 2.15 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.
