Player of the Week: Steven Stamkos

With five points in three games last week, Steven Stamkos picks up his second straight Player of the Week honors.

Stamkos began the week with a record-setting perfromance in the Lightning's 6-3 win over the Rangers on Monday. The Lightning Captain recorded the ninth hat trick of his career, becoming the franchise's leader in the category. Stamkos' second goal of the game, a one-timed shot on a power play, also marked the 700th point of his career.

After being held off the scoresheet in Tampa Bay's 4-1 win over Toronto on Thursday, Stamkos rebounded with a multi-point performance vs. the Jets on Sunday. Stamkos tied the game at two with a goal midway through the second period and picked up the primary assist on Nikita Kucherov's third period tally.
Stamkos now has points in seven of his last nine games and 14 points overall during that span.
