Nuts and Bolts: Lightning return home for heavyweight matchup vs. Flames

Tuesday's game features two of the top teams in the NHL

The Lightning host the Flames on Thursday night at Amalie Arena. 

This will be the second of two meetings between the clubs this year. The Bolts defeated the Flames 5-4 in a shootout that took seven rounds in Calgary back in December.

Tuesday's Matchup
The Lightning and the Flames are playing their second of two meetings this season and the only meeting at AMALIE Arena...Tampa Bay earned a 5-4 shootout victory in the previous meeting Dec. 20 at Scotiabank Saddledome, a game that took a seven-round shootout to decide, J.T. Miller providing the game-deciding goal...From the win, four different Bolts -- Dan Girardi, Alex Killorn, Ondrej Palat and Steven Stamkos -- scored goals, and Louis Domingue made 33-of-37 saves plus six out of seven more in the shootout to collect the seventh win on his current 10-game win streak...The Lightning extended their point streak to 10 games following the win in Calgary, a point streak that would eventually reach 16 games...Tampa Bay and Calgary have split the two-game season series each of the past three seasons...The Lightning have lost two in a row at home to the Flames...Calgary has scored at least three goals in their last six meetings versus Tampa Bay...Alex Killorn has recorded 3 goals and 3 assists over his last two games vs. CGY...Brayden Point has points in four-straight games vs. CGY (1-3--4)...Yanni Gourde has three assists over his last two games vs. CGY...Steven Stamkos has scored a goal in four of his last five games vs. CGY.

Tampa Bay has recorded points in six-straight games (4-0-2) for its third-longest point streak of the season (also: 16-game pt. streak Nov. 29-Jan. 3 and 7-game pt. streak Oct. 13-26)...The Lightning collected their 20th road win of the season Sunday in Sunrise (2ndstraight season w/ 20 road wins for first time in franchise history and 7th overall) and, with 21 home wins already this season, became the third team in NHL history to record at least 20 home and away wins within the first 56 games of the season, joining the 2007-08 Red Wings and 2015-16 Capitals...The Bolts have recorded 86 points through 56 games, their most points through the first 56 games of a season in franchise history, bettering the previous mark of 79 points in 2017-18...Tampa Bay continues to lead the NHL standings, a position it has held solely since Dec. 2, and owns a 12-point lead over second-place Calgary, 14-point lead over the New York Islanders for first in the Eastern Conference and a 15-point lead over Toronto for the top spot in the Atlantic Division...Tampa Bay paces the NHL for wins (41), points (86), ROW (37), points percentage (.768), goals (213), goals per game (3.8), goal differential (+61), power-play percentage (29.1%), home wins (21), home points (44), home points percentage (.786), home goals (116) and home goal differential (+42).
