Tampa Bay closes out a four-game homestand vs. Detroit

After a shutout loss to Minnesota, the Lightning return to host the Red Wings on Saturday night at Amalie Arena. 

The Bolts offense was kept quiet for most of the night in Thursday's 3-0 loss to the Wild, with Devan Dubnyk recording a 25-save shutout. Detroit comes in on the heels of a 3-2 shootout victory over the Rangers that snapped an eight-game winless skid.

Saturday's Matchup
The Lightning and the Red Wings are playing their third of four meetings this season and the second of two at AMALIE Arena...The Bolts and Wings will play twice in six days (also: March 14 at DET)...Tampa Bay has won both previous matchups against Detroit this season... The Lightning conclude a four-game homestand tonight...Following tonight's game against Detroit, the Bolts will play nine of their final 13 games on the road...Tampa Bay has held first place in the overall NHL standings since their 26th game on Nov. 29 (TBL shared 1st place w/ BUF from 11/30 to 12/2 and has owned sole possession of 1st place since), and since the 82-game schedule was introduced, only three teams have occupied first place from their 26th game or earlier until the end of the season (1998-99 DAL, 2001-02 DET and 2007-08 DET -- all three teams went on to win the Stanley Cup)...The Lightning own a 15-point lead in the NHL standings over secondplace Boston...Tampa Bay's 51 wins are the second most in franchise history (most: 54 wins in 2017-18), and its 106 points are tied for the third most in team history (most: 113 points in 2017-18)...The Bolts' 28 home wins and 58 home points are the third most in franchise history (most: 32 home wins and 65 home points in 2014-15).
