As they continue to align themselves with the best of local brands, the Tampa Bay Lightning have partnered with local craft vodka-maker, Florida Cane Vodka, the team announced today. Florida Cane will be available at a pair of bars that will bear their name inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum, at sections 101 and 216.
“We are extremely excited to be one of the Lightning’s newest partners as we continue to grow the craft distillery movement in Tampa,” Florida Cane Vodka co-owner Lee Nelson said. “Florida Cane is proud to join the Bolts organization as they continue to align themselves with the best in local brands. We’d like to thank the Lightning for being an advocate for the community and look forward to being one of the fans’ favorite stops at the Tampa Bay Times Forum for this season and those to come.”
Florida Cane Vodka is a small batch, hand-crafted artisan vodka that is 100 percent American-made. It is exclusively made from Florida sugar cane as opposed to those traditionally made with grain. Florida Cane is almost entirely supportive of the local economy, using labels printed in Hillsborough County, water from the Florida aquifer located beneath their distillery in Brandon and using solely locally-sourced Florida produce for their flavored versions, including oranges, grapes, watermelons and strawberries to name a few.
The premium vodka is distilled and then filtered using the custom-built inverted copper system which uses carbon derived from coconut husks. Locally-produced Florida Cane Vodka flavors include Florida Cane Premium (non-flavored), Orlando Orange, Key West Lemon & Lime, Plant City Strawberry, Buccaneer Blueberry, Beach Bum Berry, Okeechobee Cherry, Miami Mango, Gator Grape and Weeki Wachee Watermelon.
