Lightning vs. Capitals: Projected lines, injuries, storylines

The Lightning split the first two games of the season vs. Florida winning at home on Friday night and losing 5-4 on Saturday night in Sunrise, Fla. Tampa Bay hosts the Washington Capitals for the first matchup of the season for the former Southeast division foes.

MONDAY'S MATCHUP
Tampa Bay is playing the first of three meetings against Washington and the only meeting at AMALIE Arena...The Lightning have lost two straight and seven of their last eight games against the Capitals, the Bolts' only victory over that stretch coming on Dec. 3, 2016 in a 2-1 shootout win at AMALIE Arena, former Bolt Brian Boyle netting the game winner in the fourth round of the shootout...Steven Stamkos leads all current Bolts for goals (15), assists (14) and points (29) in games against Washington...The Lightning are 24-33-2 with two ties all-time at home against the Capitals...The Bolts are 39-69-8 with six ties all-time overall vs. Washington.
