Lightning Trim Roster by Three

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning reduced their training camp roster by three players tonight, it was announced by executive vice president of hockey operations Brian Lawton. After tonight, 29 players remain on the Lightning roster with four of them (Lecavalier, Ranger, Tarnasky, Halpern) injured as the team heads across the Atlantic Ocean to open the season in Prague, Czech Republic. Following are the three players who have been reassigned:

The Lightning will travel to Europe tonight following their 4-2 win against the New York Rangers.  Once in Europe Tampa Bay will take on Eisbaren Berlin on Sunday at 10 a.m. and HC Slovan on Tuesday at 1 p.m.  The puck will drop on the NHL Premier in Prague on October 4 with the Lightning taking on the Rangers at noon (Sun Sports, AM 620 WDAE) and again on October 5 at noon (VERSUS, AM 620 WDAE).
