Lightning to Host Watch Party on St. Pete Beach

by Staff Writer / Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning will host their third installment of Lightning Watch Parties, presented by Bud Light, prior to their game against the Carolina Hurricanes at Guy Harvey Outpost, a Tradewinds Beach Resort, located at 6000 Gulf Boulevard in St. Pete Beach, on Saturday, February 23. The event will run from 6 p.m. until the conclusion of the game.

A projection screen will be setup on the beach with the ocean in the background and fans will be able to view the game from the sand, or from the deck adjacent to the pool. Former Lightning great Dave Andreychuk will serve as the host for the watch party. Food and beverages will be available for purchase along with Lightning merchandise. Parking will be available to fans for $10 at Guy Harvey Outpost on a limited basis. Cabana chairs will be available, but fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

In addition to the excitement of Lightning hockey, fans will also have the opportunity to win prizes and participate in meet-and-greets with ThunderBug, the Lightning Girls and more. Inflatable obstacle courses will be setup on the beach for kids to enjoy as well. There will also be on-site contests in which fans may enter to win signed Lightning merchandise, as well as tickets to future games.
