Some special kids recently got a special guest.

Ryan McDonagh and Steven Stamkos shared the Stanley Cup with the patients at the Children's Cancer Center in Tampa on Friday.

The Tampa Bay Lightning captain and defenseman took the trophy to the center that specializes in treating children with cancer and blood disorders. They signed autographs and posed for pictures with the kids and the trophy they won Sept. 28.
"We hope bringing along our new shiny friend brought some smiles to these real heroes faces," McDonagh said on his Instagram caption.
The Cup's trip to the children's hospital was just one of the many public appearances the trophy made in the Tampa Bay area in the past week. The trophy has also visited fire houses, a winery, Tampa's Jesuit High School and the City of Oldsmar, Florida.
