The Tampa Bay Lightning and the St. Pete Times Forum are proud to kick off a fourth consecutive season of the Lightning Post-Game Concert Series, presented by Beck’s Beer in association with, beginning November 25 after the Lightning take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. Several featured bands will take the stage on the outdoor plaza immediately following games this year. All game tickets include the price of admission to the concert.  The Lightning will release the second half of the series in the coming weeks.

The Lightning Post-Game Concert Series began in 2006, and while it has been a huge hit attracting fans to enjoy additional entertainment after watching exciting Lightning hockey, this year’s series promises to be the biggest to date. The funk and punk infused sound of Gandalf Murphy returns for its fourth consecutive appearance on the bill.  Toronto natives Danko Jones returns for another year after appearing in last season’s series. Danko Jones is also featured on the recently released Saw VI soundtrack.  Fresh off their second widely-successful TV series “Z Rock” the band ZO2 will also appear on the bill.  ZO2 has played to rave reviews and has been on of IFC TV’s biggest hits.

This year’s Lightning Concert Series features a slight twist in the action from previous seasons’ shows. In addition to each act performing after the games, there will also be a pre-game set designed to spark excitement for Lightning hockey. A presentation of fans’ game tickets will allow them access to the show free of charge.

Fans in attendance at the November 25, December 5 and January 23 concert events will receive an added bonus, as the featured bands will make an additional appearance as a supplement to the pre and post-game action. Danko Jones will kick off the November 25 game with a special rendition of “Let’s Play Hockey” prior to the puck drop against the Maple Leafs. In addition, both Gandalf Murphy and ZO2 will perform the national anthem prior to the start of the games on December 5 and January 23, respectively.

The first half of this year’s series is scheduled as follows:

Wed. Nov. 25 vs. Toronto Maple Leafs – Concert Featuring Danko Jones
Sat. Dec. 5 vs. New York Islanders - Concert Featuring Gandalf Murphy
Sat. Jan. 23 vs. Atlanta Thrashers – Concert Featuring ZO2
