The 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning reduced their preseason roster by nine players today, it was announced by Executive Vice President & General Manager Jay Feaster.

After today, 22 active players remain in Lightning camp. Defenseman Gerard Dicaire has yet to be medically cleared to practice.

Following are the nine players who have been reassigned:

The Lightning will be off on Monday, September 26 and will practice on at 10 a.m. at the St. Pete Times Forum on Tuesday, September 27. The team's next preseason game is Friday, September 30 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes at the St. Pete Times Forum (7:30 p.m.).
