Lightning Reduce Camp Roster By Six

– The Tampa Bay Lightning reduced their training camp roster by six players tonight, it was announced by executive vice president of hockey operations Brian Lawton. After tonight, 32 players remain in Lightning camp with four of them (Lecavalier, Ranger, Tarnasky, Halpern) injured as the team prepares for its final preseason game in North America Thursday night in New York against the Rangers. Following are the six players who have been reassigned:

The Lightning will take on the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden Thursday night at 7 p.m. (AM 620 WDAE) before departing following the game for Prague, Czech Republic.  Once in Europe Tampa Bay will take on Eisbaren Berlin on Sunday at 10 a.m. and HC Slovan on Tuesday at 1 p.m.  The puck will drop on the NHL Premier in Prague on October 4 with the Lightning taking on the Rangers at noon (Sun Sports, AM 620 WDAE) and again on October 5 at noon (VERSUS, AM 620 WDAE).
