The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned right wing Brandon Bochenski to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League today, Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Lawton announced.
Bochenski, 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, was recalled to the Lightning on January 2. He has played in 12 games with Tampa Bay this season, recording a goal and five points while averaging 12:55 in ice time. Bochenski has played in 35 games with Norfolk this season, recording 16 goals and 32 points. He was named a starter on Team PlanetUSA for the AHL All-Star Game. Bochenski leads the Admirals in points and is tied for the lead in goals as well as power play goals (6).
A native of Blaine, Minnesota, Bochenski has played in 140 career NHL games with the Lightning, Nashville Predators, Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators. He has amassed 25 career goals, 60 points and seven power play goals.
Bochenski, 27, signed with the Lightning as a free agent on July 8, 2008. He was selected by Ottawa in the seventh round, 223rd overall, at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
